On Thursday, Ellie and I took a trip to Rocky Creek Farm. We went last year, too, and had so much fun we decided to go back. This year we took Taylor and Corinne and decided to head over before the rest of the group got there so we could eat lunch at the farm.
We ate lunch, then Ellie and Corinne played together.
As the other people from our group started to arrive, the kids played on the man tire swings at the farm. Ellie stood back and watched the big kids play, wanting to join in.
Once everyone arrived, we headed to the field so the kids could play in the hay bale fort. The kids really seemed to enjoy it. All of them, that is, except for Ellie, who wouldn't go in while anyone else was in there.
Pretty soon the tractor came by and picked us up for a hayride!!
We got on the trailer and rode past the goats and the barn and the corn, all the way out to the pumpkin patch.
Even Ellie got to pick out a pumpkin.
After the hayride we got the girls situated in their carseats in the car, then went to pick out a couple more pumpkins and some apples. I got 8 lbs of delicious Jonathan apples from the box of "cider" apples. I've never had cider from Rocky Creek, but I might just have to go back and buy some now that I know just how delicious the apples it's made from are! My apples have been turned into apple butter, dehydrated apple slices, and a wonderful apple pie we had for dessert last night. Ahhh... I love Fall.
When we got back to the car after purchasing our pumpkins and apples, both the girls were sound asleep after their day at the farm. They slept all the way home and napped late into the afternoon. I guess we wore them out, but it was worth it. We had a good day.

it' funny that in your pictures of the pumpkin patch, ellie is dressed in a coat, and in the pictures of my kids at the pumkpin patch, they are all dressed in shorts and t-shirts with sweat dripping down their faces :)
