One of the first nights we were in TX, Ellie was having a particularly hard time going to bed. She kept getting up for various things, which eventually resulted in spankings when she got out of bed. Then she stayed in bed, but resorted to letting me know she was unhappy by screaming. In one such screaming fit I heard these words shouted from the other room:
"I will never, never, NEVER obey Mommy!!"
Needless to say, she got in trouble for that. But where did that huge attitude come from in such a teeny tiny toddler? I remember a story from when I was little once where my mother told me that I was not to talk to her like that until I was a teenager. I was about Ellie's age. I think that means she got it from me. She's my teeny tiny teenager.

Let's hope she gets it out now and doesn't talk to you like that when she is a teenager:):)!!
Welcome home to you and little miss Sassy! I know that you did the right thing to put your foot down to that lip, but man, I would have had a very difficult time not laughing! Missed you at TNL and can't wait to see you again.
Ooooooooooo! I woulda gotten my bum worn out for that NO matter WHAT age!! I'm glad you are home safe and sound.
I have to admit reading about your adventure in the airpot gave me ideas and scared me a little. Chris and I will be flying with the 2 boys in July to Washington. So 2 carseats, diaper bag, little boy backpack... I don't think I need to say more. I hadn't thought of strapping the car seat to the stroller though. That is a great idea although strange looking I bet. Glad you got back without to much trouble.
