Learning to Knit

Last night Eliana told me that she wanted to knit something, but she didn't know how. I told her I could teach her if she really wanted to learn. She did, so I set about teaching her the first part of knitting - casting on. It's simple enough that I think she can do that to her heart's content and I'll see if her attention span lasts long enough for me to teach her the next step. In any event, once she got the casting on down, she decided to be a knitter like the ones she saw in a book.

So she went and got a rocking chair. And then she got a blanket. And she sat, and she rocked, and she knitted.
