Misunderestimation

All three of us seem to have come down with something flu-like during the night. About 6 Ellie woke up with a scream. She walked into the bathroom by herself. I got up to check on her. She was dry heaving over the toilet. Shortly after I got in there, she let out a massive ejection of puke (based on what you figure could fit in a 30 pound kid's stomach). I started rubbing her back and telling her it would be OK and that she'd done quite well by throwing up into the toilet. She looked at me with a confused look and let loose with another equally massive eruption, aimed squarely at my chest.

It turns out, I underestimated the capacity of my two year old's stomach.

I hope you are all feeling better! We had that last Sunday night to Monday, and fortunately it is a quick recovery, as J was back in school by Tuesday.

Uh, EW! That is just plain gross, but I'm still glad you shared. It is one thing to assume you're not the only one who's ever been puked on, it is another to KNOW you're not the only one. :-) Strangely, grossly, comforting.

I hope it stays at your house!
Not what I want right now. I am like tpy...no pics?? Where was Leif. I hope you did get a shower shortly there after.

Just to clarify, it was LEIF who got puked on and wrote the post... He is the softie who gets up to comfort his sick daughter in the middle of the night, while I was sleeping soundly (okay, not so soundly with all that commotion going on in the bathroom off our bedroom, but sleeping none-the-less). I did not get up to take pictures. Sorry, folks, maybe next time...
